How to Draw a Music Teacher
Draw a music teacher in 18 steps, about 14 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Draw it a little left: the piano stands on the right.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head draw 2 small eyes with black dots. Add a nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Tufty hair
Start on the left of the head by the eyebrows. Draw hair tufts over the top, down to the right.
Step 4: Neck, shirt, vest
From the chin draw 2 neck lines down to a collar and sloping shoulders. Add a V-front vest below.
Step 5: Bow tie and buttons
At the top of the V draw a bow tie with a round knot. Add 2 buttons down the vest.
Step 6: Long sleeves
From the shoulders and armpits draw 2 sleeves bent at the elbows, one down to a wrist, one up.
Step 7: Cuffs and hands
Draw a cuff line on each sleeve. Add a round hand on the left wrist, a fist on the right.
Step 8: Baton
Start behind the raised fist and draw a thin stick up, stopping above the head.
Tip Keep it beside the head, never across the face.
Step 9: Piano
On the right draw a tall box from under the elbow down to 2 short legs. Add a lid line.
Step 10: Keyboard
A third of the way down, draw a keyboard band from one side across to the other, with key lines.
Step 11: Black keys
Along the top of the keyboard draw 5 little black keys, 2 together, then 3 together.
Step 12: Music sheet
Just above the keyboard draw a thin stand with a music sheet on it. Add a line on the sheet.
Step 13: 2 music notes
Above the piano draw 2 filled ovals. From each one draw a stem up to a little flag.
Step 14: Trousers
Start at the left end of the hem. Draw the trousers down, up between the legs, back to the right.
Step 15: Shoes and ground
Under each trouser leg draw a rounded shoe. Draw a long ground line under the shoes and piano.
Step 16: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Colour a pink circle on each cheek, then the face, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 17: Green vest, red tie
Colour the vest green and the bow tie red, leaving the shirt and sleeves white.
Step 18: Brown hair, wooden piano
Colour the hair and trousers brown, the piano wood brown and the shoes black, leaving the keys and sheet white.
