How to Draw a Mascot Costume
Draw a mascot costume in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: huge head and ears.
Step 1: Huge head and ears
Near the top draw a big circle, a third of the page tall. Add a round ear on each side.
Tip Mascot heads are huge, twice as wide as a real head.
Step 2: Bear eyes and nose
Above the middle draw 2 big round eyes with dots and shines. Add a small black nose below them.
Step 3: Open mouth
Under the nose draw a wide oval open mouth, filling the bottom half of the head.
Tip The mouth is the hole the kid inside looks out of.
Step 4: Kid's face
Inside the mouth draw the kid peeking out, with 2 big eyes, a smile and 2 pink cheeks.
Step 5: Furry body
Under the head draw a big egg for the body, round at the shoulders. Add an oval tummy.
Step 6: Arms
From each shoulder draw a furry arm, the left one hanging down, the right one bending up at the elbow.
Tip Rub out the shoulder lines inside the arms.
Step 7: Hands
Draw a round mitten on the left arm and a round fist on the right. Rub out the wrist lines.
Step 8: Giant foam finger
Out of the right fist draw a foam hand, with a cuff, a fat palm and one finger pointing up.
Tip Write #1 on the palm. Keep the foam hand beside the head.
Step 9: Furry legs
From under each arm, go down the body's sides into 2 short legs, with a round dip between.
Tip Rub out the bottom of the body between the legs.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Draw a big shoe over the bottom of each leg, toes pointing out. Add a long ground line under them.
Step 11: Tan tummy, peach face
Go over your lines. Colour the tummy tan and the kid's face peach. Leave all the eyes white.
Step 12: Red finger and shoes
Colour the foam hand and the shoes red. Leave the cuff white.
Step 13: Brown fur
Colour the head, ears, body, arms, hands and legs brown, around the tummy and face. Your mascot is done!
