How to Draw Roasting Marshmallows
Draw roasting marshmallows in 18 steps, about 14 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Draw it left of the middle: the campfire burns on the right.
Step 2: The face
Inside the head, draw 2 oval eyes with big dots and shines. Add a little nose and a smile.
Step 3: Two ears
On each side of the head, start on the head, draw a small C bulging out, stop on the head.
Step 4: Woolly hat
Over the top of the head, draw a round hat with a band along the bottom and a fluffy pompom.
Step 5: Neck and jacket
From the chin, draw 2 neck lines down to the collar. Add a short-sleeved jacket, zipped down the middle.
Step 6: Long sleeves
From each shoulder, draw a sleeve that gets thinner, one down, one bent out. Rub out the short-sleeve hems.
Tip Add a cuff line across each sleeve near the end.
Step 7: Hands
At the left cuff, draw a round hand with a small thumb. At the right cuff, draw a round fist.
Step 8: Stick and marshmallow
From behind the fist, draw a long stick slanting down. Add a puffy marshmallow on the end.
Tip Draw an oval across the stick first, then a puffy pillow from its top around to its bottom.
Step 9: Logs and stones
Below the marshmallow, draw 2 logs crossed in an X. Add 4 small oval stones along the bottom.
Step 10: Big flame
From behind the logs, draw a big wobbly flame with 2 points. Inside, draw a small flame.
Step 11: Trousers
From the left of the jacket hem, draw 2 trouser legs down, then back up to the right.
Step 12: Shoes and ground
Draw a shoe under each leg. Draw a ground line from near the left edge to near the right edge.
Step 13: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, ears and hands peach, with a pink circle on each cheek. Leave the eyes white.
Step 14: Cream marshmallow, yellow flame
Colour the marshmallow cream and the small inner flame yellow.
Step 15: Orange flame
Colour the big flame orange around the yellow flame.
Step 16: Red jacket, green beanie
Colour the jacket, sleeves and pompom red. Colour the beanie and its band green.
Step 17: Grey stones, brown wood
Colour the stones grey, and the logs, stick and shoes brown.
Step 18: Navy trousers
Colour the trousers navy. Your marshmallow is roasting!
