How to Draw a Mummy Cat

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a mummy cat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top, draw a big egg on its side. Puff out the cheeks with 2 tiny fur points each.

  2. Step 2: Pointy ears

Draw a tall pointy ear on each top corner of the head. Add a small triangle inside each one.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the head, draw 2 big oval eyes, one eye apart. Add black dots and white shines.

  4. Step 4: Nose and W smile

Under the eyes, draw a small upside-down triangle nose and colour it pink. From its point, draw a W smile.

Tip Both smile curves start at the very same spot on the nose.

  5. Step 5: Plump body

Start under each cheek. Draw a big C down and round to meet in the middle at the bottom.

Tip A fat pear, never wider than the head.

  6. Step 6: Front legs

Start under the chin and draw a U leg down to a mitten paw. Add a paw curve and toes.

Tip Short legs, big paws. Curvy sides, never straight sticks.

  7. Step 7: Curly tail

On the right of the body, draw a thick tail along the ground that curls up to a round tip.

  8. Step 8: Back paws

Under each side, draw a small bun paw tucked behind the front paw. Add 2 toe curves.

  9. Step 9: Head bandages

Draw a line across the head above the eyes and one below. Add 2 slanting lines across the forehead.

Tip Every bandage line starts and stops on the edge of the head.

  10. Step 10: Leg bandages

Draw 2 slanting lines across each front leg, from one edge of the leg to the other.

  11. Step 11: Body and tail bandages

Draw 2 slanting lines on each side of the body, from edge to leg. Add 2 across the tail.

  12. Step 12: Whiskers and ground

From each cheek, draw 2 whiskers out past the head. Draw a ground line under the paws, past the tail.

  13. Step 13: Cream bandages

Colour the bandages cream: head, ears, body, legs, paws and tail. Leave the eye strip and inside the ears.

  14. Step 14: Grey face, pink ears

Colour the strip round the eyes grey and inside the ears pink. Leave the eyes white. Go over your lines.
