How to Draw a Dormouse
Draw a dormouse in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
On the left of your paper, draw a soft round head, fuller at the cheeks. Leave room on the right.
Step 2: Big round ears
On each top corner, draw a big round ear, half on the head, with a smaller circle inside it.
Tip Dormouse ears are round like little pancakes.
Step 3: Big eyes
On the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes, each with a black dot and white shine.
Step 4: Snout, nose, whiskers
On the chin, draw a small round snout with a black nose, a tiny smile and 2 whiskers each side.
Step 5: Curled body
Behind the head, draw a big bean body lying down: round back, fat bottom, flat tummy on the ground.
Tip The head rests on the front of the body like a pillow.
Step 6: Two tucked paws
Under the chin, draw 2 little round paws tucked side by side, like soft buns, with 2 toe lines each.
Step 7: Long wrapped tail
From the low back end of the body, draw a thick tail along the ground, curling up past the paws.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the tail.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long ground line under the body and tail, from near the left edge to near the right.
Step 9: Cream and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the snout cream and the ear insides pink, leaving the nose black.
Step 10: Colour the fur ginger
Colour the fur ginger around the cream and pink, leaving the eyes white. Your dormouse is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a dormouse, drawn by you.
