How to Draw an Egyptian Goose
Draw an Egyptian goose in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top left of your paper draw a round head. Leave lots of room under it.
Step 2: Flat bill
Start on the front of the head. Draw a short flat bill, ending at the chin. Add a mouth line.
Tip Keep the bill short and fat, not long.
Step 3: Big eye and patch
Behind the bill draw a big eye with a black dot and a shine. Draw a soft patch round it.
Step 4: Long neck
Start at the chin and the back of the head. Draw 2 long S lines down, stopping above the middle.
Tip The neck is thicker at the body than at the head.
Step 5: Plump body
Start at the bottom of the back neck line. Draw a big bean body, ending at the front neck line.
Step 6: Teardrop wing
On the body behind the neck draw a big teardrop wing pointing at the rump. Add 2 short feather lines.
Step 7: Pointed tail
At the back of the rump draw a short pointed tail sticking out, like a little wedge.
Step 8: Neck line, chest spot
Curve a line from the back to the chest across the neck. Low on the chest draw a small oval.
Step 9: Long legs and feet
Under the tummy draw 2 long legs that get thinner and bend a little. End each in a webbed foot.
Tip Egyptian geese stand tall on long legs.
Step 10: Ground and grass
Start at the left edge. Draw a ground line under the feet to the right edge. Add grass tufts.
Step 11: Cream neck, pink bill
Colour the head and neck cream, around the eye patch. Colour the bill and both legs pink.
Step 12: Tan body, white wing
Colour the body tan around the wing and the chest spot. Leave the wing white like the paper.
Step 13: Brown patch, grey tail
Colour the eye patch and chest spot brown, leaving the eye white. Colour the little tail dark grey.
