How to Draw a Muffin
Draw a muffin in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the paper cup.
Step 1: The paper cup
Start on the left, below the middle. Draw a wide U cup and stop level with where you started.
Tip Wider at the top, like a little bucket.
Step 2: The puffy top
Start at the cup's top-left corner. Draw a big puffy hill over the top and down to the top-right corner.
Tip A muffin top spills out past its cup on both sides.
Step 3: The cup edge
Join the two top corners of the cup with a gentle smile curve.
Step 4: Paper pleats
From the cup edge, draw 4 gentle lines down to the bottom of the cup, leaning in like the sides.
Step 5: Blueberries
On the puffy top, draw 6 round blueberries spread about, none touching.
Step 6: The plate
Draw a flat oval plate behind the cup. Add a rim curve under it, from one end to the other.
Step 7: Blue berries
Go over your lines, then colour the blueberries blue.
Step 8: Tan top
Colour the puffy top tan, going around the berries.
Step 9: Sky cup
Colour the paper cup sky blue.
Step 10: Cream plate
Colour the plate and its rim cream, going around the cup.
