How to Draw a Steak
Draw a steak in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the steak.
Step 1: The steak
Above the middle of your paper draw a big rounded steak as wide as your hand, fatter on the left.
Tip Like a soft lumpy pillow, not a circle.
Step 2: The thick side
Start at the left end of the steak. Draw a line a finger under the bottom, over to the right.
Step 3: A strip of fat
Along the top edge draw a thin band from the top left to the right, closed along the top.
Step 4: Grill marks
Draw 3 slanted lines across the steak, side by side, for grill marks.
Step 5: A plate
Behind the steak draw a big flat oval plate, wider than your hand. Add a second oval inside.
Step 6: A fork
Draw a fork lying flat in front of the steak: a long handle, a small head and 4 short prongs.
Step 7: Shine and herbs
Draw a tiny oval shine between the grill marks. Add 2 little leaves in front of the steak.
Step 8: The table
Draw a line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 9: Cream fat
Go over your lines, then colour the strip of fat cream.
Step 10: Sky plate, grey fork
Colour the fork grey and the plate sky blue, going around the steak and the leaves.
Step 11: Green herbs
Colour the little leaves green.
Step 12: Brown steak
Colour the top and the side of the steak brown, leaving the shine white. Your steak is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a steak, drawn by you.
