How to Draw Chicken Noodle Soup
Draw chicken noodle soup in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
A little below the middle, left of centre, draw a wide flat oval about a hand across: the bowl's top.
Step 2: The bowl
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big U down and up to the right end.
Step 3: Foot and table
From the bowl's bottom, draw a stand down, across and up to it. Rule a table line across the page.
Step 4: The stripe
Start under the rim on the left. Curve round the bowl like the rim and stop on the right.
Tip Keep it the same distance under the rim all the way.
Step 5: The broth
Inside the rim, draw a second flat oval a finger inside it for the top of the soup.
Step 6: Noodles
On the soup, draw 3 short, fat wavy noodles like ribbons: one high, one in the middle, one low.
Tip Leave room between them for the chicken and carrots.
Step 7: Chicken chunks
In the spaces, draw 2 small soft lumps, one on the left and one on the right.
Step 8: Carrot coins
Draw 3 little round carrot slices in the spaces, not touching the noodles or chicken.
Step 9: Parsley
On top of the right chicken chunk, draw 3 small rounded leaves fanning up from one point.
Step 10: Steam
Start just above the rim and draw 2 wiggly steam lines up into the air.
Step 11: Spoon
Right of the bowl, draw a spoon lying on the table: an oval with a slim handle.
Step 12: Yellow broth, tan noodles
Go over your lines. Colour the soup yellow around the noodles and chicken, then colour those tan.
Step 13: Orange carrots, green parsley
Colour the carrot slices orange and the parsley leaves green.
Step 14: Blue stripe, grey spoon
Colour the band between the stripe and the rim blue, leaving the rest white. Colour the spoon grey.
