How to Draw Mount Everest
Draw Mount Everest in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the ground.
Step 1: The ground
Low on your paper draw a long straight ground line from near the left edge to near the right edge.
Step 2: The pointed peak
From the ground, slant up over a shoulder to a point, then over a little ledge down to the ground.
Tip The point reaches near the top of the paper. Stop both ends a little in from the paper's edges.
Step 3: Snow line
Below the point, start on the left slope. Draw a short zigzag across the peak, stopping on the right slope.
Step 4: Blowing snow
Start at the point. Draw a puffy snow cloud blowing right, thin at the end, and back to the slope.
Step 5: Two poles
On the left, start on the ground. Draw a tall pole up and stop. Add a shorter pole beside it.
Step 6: The string
Start at the top of the tall pole. Draw a sagging string across to the top of the short pole.
Step 7: Five flags
Hang 5 little square flags from the string, evenly spaced, with a little gap between them.
Step 8: The sun
In a top corner, draw a round sun as big as a plum, with 8 short rays all round.
Step 9: A cloud
Right of the peak, draw a small cloud with 3 round bumps on top and a softly rounded bottom.
Step 10: Yellow and green
Colour the sun and the last flag yellow, and the fourth flag green. Leave the second flag white.
Step 11: Red and blue flags
Colour the third flag red and the first flag blue.
Step 12: Slate mountain, white snow
Colour the mountain slate grey around the flags and poles, leaving the snow white. Go over your lines!
