How to Draw a Sea Anemone
Draw a sea anemone in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rock.
Step 1: The rock
Low on your paper draw a wide lumpy rock, like a loaf of bread.
Step 2: Round body
On top of the rock draw a big round dome, like an upside-down bowl as wide as your hand.
Tip The face goes on the dome, so make it big.
Step 3: Happy face
Below the middle of the dome draw 2 big egg eyes with a black dot. Add a wide U smile.
Step 4: Three tentacles
From the top of the dome draw 3 wiggly tentacles, wide at the dome and pointed at the tip.
Step 5: Left tentacles
Round the left side of the dome draw 2 more pointed tentacles, curving out to the left.
Step 6: Right tentacles
Round the right side draw 2 more curving out right, so 7 tentacles ring the top of the dome.
Step 7: Sandy floor
Draw a long gently wavy line from the left edge of the paper to the right, under the rock.
Step 8: Bubbles
Up on the left draw 3 round bubbles floating up: small, bigger, biggest.
Step 9: Little fish
On the right draw a little fish: a pointed egg, a triangle tail, a stripe and a dot eye.
Step 10: Seaweed
On the left, start on the sand. Draw a wiggly seaweed blade up to a point, back to the sand.
Step 11: Sand, grey rock
Colour the sandy floor tan and the rock grey.
Step 12: Pink dome, orange fish
Colour the dome pink with 2 rosy cheeks, leaving the eyes white. Colour the fish orange.
Step 13: Purple tentacles, green weed
Colour all 7 tentacles purple and the seaweed green. Go over your lines and you are done!
