How to Draw a Motorcycle Helmet
Draw a motorcycle helmet in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shell.
Step 1: The shell
In the middle draw a big egg lying on its side, with a flat bottom and a flatter front.
Step 2: The big visor
Start on the front edge below the top. Curve a big round window across the shell, back to the front.
Step 3: Face in the visor
Inside the visor draw 2 big egg eyes with black dots, one eye apart: the rider looking out.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, inside the visor, draw a U smile, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The chin bar
Start on the front edge below the visor. Draw a line in, round the corner and down to the bottom.
Tip The front bottom corner becomes its own chunky piece.
Step 6: Vents
On the chin bar draw 3 short slanted lines in a row for the air vents.
Step 7: Racing stripe
A little below the top edge, draw 2 curved lines close together, from the front edge to the back.
Step 8: Rim and ground
From the chin bar, rule a level rim line back to the edge. Rule a ground line under the helmet.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars around the helmet: one top-right, one left and one bottom-right.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks
Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Sky visor, grey chin
Colour the visor sky blue around the eyes and cheeks. Colour the chin bar and rim grey.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red shell
Colour the helmet red around the visor, chin bar and rim. Your helmet is done!
Tip Leave the stripe white.
