How to Draw a Bowler Hat

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a bowler hat in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the round crown.

Print

  1. Step 1: The round crown

Start low on the left. Curve up over a round dome and stop level on the right. Join the bottoms.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

Draw 2 big egg eyes in the middle of the crown. Add a black dot and a shine in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.

  4. Step 4: The curly brim

From the crown's bottom-left, draw a short brim with a round curl at each end. Stop at the bottom-right.

  5. Step 5: Make the brim thick

From the tip of the left curl, draw a smile inside the brim to the tip of the right curl.

  6. Step 6: The band

Just above the crown's bottom, start on the left side and draw a sagging curve across to the right.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles and a table

Draw a sparkle star top-right of the hat and a smaller one left. Add a table line under the brim.

  8. Step 8: Yellow sparkles

    Colour the sparkles yellow.

  9. Step 9: Sand band, pink cheeks

Colour the band sand and the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Brown hat

Colour the crown and brim brown, around the eyes, cheeks and band. Leave the eyes white. All done!
