How to Draw a Mitten String
Draw a mitten string in 11 steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: left mitten.
Step 1: Left mitten
On the left draw an upside-down mitten: a flat top, a round bottom and a thumb down the left side.
Tip Keep the thumb in the same line as the mitten, with a little V between them.
Step 2: Two eyes
On the mitten draw 2 round eyes a little apart. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Its cuff
Across the top of the mitten draw a flat cuff band, with short lines down it for the ribbing.
Step 5: Right mitten
On the right draw the other mitten the same way, with its thumb down the right side.
Step 6: The peg
At the top middle of your paper draw a little round peg on a flat plate.
Step 7: The string
From the bottom of the peg draw 2 straight strings, one down to each cuff.
Step 8: Snowflakes
Draw 4 little snowflakes near the corners, each a star of 3 short crossing lines.
Step 9: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Warm hands!
Step 10: Cream cuffs
Colour the cuffs cream and the peg grey.
Step 11: Red mittens
Go over your lines, then colour both mittens red, going round the face and leaving the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a mitten string, drawn by you.
