How to Draw a Rolling Backpack
Draw a rolling backpack in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bag.
Step 1: The bag
In the middle, draw a tall backpack with a round arch top, straight sides and a flat bottom.
Tip A rolling backpack has wheels and a pull-up handle, so you can drag it.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the top half of the bag, draw 2 round eyes with a black dot and white shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Draw a U smile under the eyes. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Front pocket
On the bottom half of the bag draw a wide rounded pocket.
Step 5: Zip
From the left side, draw a zip round the arch top to the right side. Add a tiny round pull.
Step 6: Pull handle
From the top of the bag, draw 2 thin rods straight up, joined by a flat grip.
Step 7: Base
Under the bag, draw a thin flat base, a little narrower than the bag.
Step 8: Wheels
Under each end of the base, draw a round wheel with a small hub dot in the middle.
Step 9: Straps
From each top corner, draw a thin strap down the side, just outside the bag. Stop near the bottom.
Step 10: Ground
Draw a ground line under the wheels, from the left to the right.
Step 11: Yellow and pink
Colour the pocket yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 12: Blue bag
Colour the bag blue, going around the face, pocket and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Navy and slate
Colour the straps navy, and the handle, base and wheels slate grey.
