How to Draw Mistletoe

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw mistletoe in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: string and bow.

Print

  1. Step 1: String and bow

Start near the top. Draw a short string down to a square knot. Add a big loop on each side.

  2. Step 2: Ribbon tails

From the knot draw 2 thin ribbon tails hanging down to a notched end, one leaning left, one right.

  3. Step 3: The twig

Start under the knot. Draw a short twig that splits into 2 branches curving out and down, with blunt ends.

  4. Step 4: Leaves on the left

At the end of the left branch draw 2 long leaves with round ends: one pointing left, one hanging down.

  5. Step 5: Leaves on the right

Do the same on the right branch: one round-ended leaf pointing right and one hanging down.

  6. Step 6: Leaf veins

Draw one straight vein down the middle of each leaf. Start a little way in, stop short of the tip.

  7. Step 7: White berries

Draw 4 round berries in the fork: 1 over the middle, 2 under it, 1 at the bottom.

  8. Step 8: Berry dots

Put a tiny black dot in the middle of each berry.

  9. Step 9: Red bow

Colour the bow red: the knot, both loops and both tails.

  10. Step 10: Green leaves, brown twig

Colour the leaves green and the twig brown around the berries. Leave the berries white. Your mistletoe is done!
