How to Draw Minestrone
Draw minestrone in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a soup plate.
Step 1: A soup plate
Below the middle of your paper draw a big flat oval, as wide as your hand: a wide soup plate.
Step 2: The well
In the middle of the plate draw a smaller oval, about two thirds as wide, for the soup.
Tip Minestrone is a chunky vegetable soup with beans and little pasta.
Step 3: The rim band
Between the 2 ovals draw a third oval close to the outer edge, for the rim band.
Step 4: A pasta tube
Left in the soup draw a small oval. From its top, draw a pasta tube left, round to its bottom.
Step 5: Shell and bean
On the right draw a pasta shell: a little dome on a flat bottom. Lower left add a small bean.
Step 6: Carrot and celery
Top right, draw a small round carrot coin. Top left, draw a little U-shaped slice of celery.
Step 7: A basil leaf
In the middle draw a pointy basil leaf leaning up right, with one vein line from base to tip.
Step 8: Cheese
In the gaps between the bits draw 3 small flat flakes of grated cheese.
Step 9: Steam and the table
Above the plate draw 2 wiggly steam lines. Draw a long table line under the plate, left to right.
Step 10: Sky rim, cream bean
Colour the rim band sky blue and the bean cream, leaving the edge and cheese white.
Step 11: Tan pasta, orange carrot
Colour the pasta tube and shell tan and the carrot orange.
Step 12: Green bits, red soup
Go over your lines. Colour the basil and celery green, then the soup red, going around every bit.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: minestrone, drawn by you.
