How to Draw a Turkish Tea Glass
Draw a Turkish tea glass in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tulip glass.
Step 1: The tulip glass
Draw a tall glass like a tulip: wide top, narrow waist, round bowl. Start top left, end top right.
Tip A Turkish tea glass has no handle: you hold it by the rim.
Step 2: Rim and base
Across the top, draw a flat oval rim. Near the bottom, draw a curved line from side to side.
Step 3: The tea
A little below the rim, draw a thin oval from side to side for the top of the tea.
Step 4: The saucer
Under the glass, draw a big wide oval saucer. Draw a smaller oval inside it.
Tip Lift your pencil where the saucer goes behind the glass.
Step 5: A sugar cube
Inside the saucer, by the glass on the right, draw a small square. Add a slanted top and side.
Step 6: A tiny spoon
Inside the saucer, in front of the glass, draw an oval spoon bowl and a thin handle going right.
Step 7: Steam
Above the rim, draw 2 wiggly steam lines rising up. They start and stop in the air.
Step 8: The table
Draw a long line from left to right, just touching the bottom of the saucer.
Step 9: Pale blue glass
Go over your lines. Colour the empty top of the glass and its thick base pale blue.
Step 10: Amber tea
Colour the tea a warm orange brown, from the thin oval down to the curved line.
Step 11: Red saucer rim
Colour the rim of the saucer red. Leave the middle of the saucer and the sugar cube white.
Step 12: Grey spoon
Colour the spoon grey. Your Turkish tea is done!
