How to Draw a Microchip
Draw a microchip in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the chip.
Step 1: The chip
In the middle of your paper draw a square with soft corners for the chip.
Tip A microchip is a tiny computer brain with little metal legs like a bug.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the chip draw 2 big egg eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Legs on the sides
On the left and right edges draw 4 short flat legs each, sticking straight out, evenly spaced.
Step 5: Legs top and bottom
On the top and bottom edges draw 4 short legs each too, sticking straight up and down.
Step 6: The inner square
Inside the chip draw a smaller square, a little in from the edge, going round the face.
Step 7: The notch
In the top left corner, inside the inner square, draw a tiny circle for the notch.
Step 8: Circuit lines
From the top left leg and the bottom right leg, draw a bent wire out to a dot.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a sparkle in the air above each side of the chip.
Step 10: Yellow legs and dots
Colour all 16 legs and the 2 wire dots yellow.
Step 11: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Slate chip
Go over your lines, then colour the chip slate grey around the face, leaving the eyes white. Beep boop!
