How to Draw a Merry Christmas Text
Draw a merry Christmas text in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: m and e.
Step 1: M and E
Above the middle, starting on the left, draw a fat bubble M, then a fat E.
Tip Bubble letters are fat sticks with round ends.
Step 2: R, R and Y
Leave a gap, then draw 2 fat R's with a hole in each, and a fat Y to finish MERRY.
Step 3: C, H and R
Under the M, start the bottom word: a fat C, a fat H and a fat R with a hole.
Tip CHRISTMAS has 9 letters, so keep them close together.
Step 4: I, S and T
Leave a gap, then draw a thin I, a curvy fat S and a fat T.
Step 5: M, A and S
Finish CHRISTMAS with a fat M, an A with a hole, and one more curvy S.
Step 6: Three berries
In the space after MERRY, near the bottom of the letters, draw 3 small round berries close together.
Step 7: Two holly leaves
From behind the berries draw 2 prickly leaves, one up to the left and one up to the right.
Tip Each leaf has 3 sharp points down each side and 1 at the tip.
Step 8: Leaf lines
Draw a line along the middle of each leaf. Start at the berries and stop just before the tip.
Step 9: The floor
Draw a straight floor line under CHRISTMAS. Start at the left side and stop at the right side.
Step 10: Red MERRY
Colour the 5 letters of MERRY and the 3 berries red. Leave the holes in the R's white.
Step 11: Green leaves
Colour the 2 holly leaves light green, around the red berries.
Step 12: Green CHRISTMAS
Colour the 9 letters of CHRISTMAS dark green, keeping inside the lines. Your MERRY CHRISTMAS sign is done!
