How to Draw Jack Frost

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw Jack Frost in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave a little room above it for the hair.

  2. Step 2: Happy face

Draw 2 big eyes, each with a dark dot and a shiny spot. Add a small nose and a smile.

  3. Step 3: Pointed ears

On each side, start beside an eye and draw a pointed ear out and back to the head.

  4. Step 4: Icicle hair

Draw a round cap of hair over the top of the head. Give its front edge 5 icicle points.

Tip Rub out the head line under the hair.

  5. Step 5: Neck and tunic

Draw a neck, a V-collar shoulder line from shoulder across to shoulder, and an icicle hem tunic, armpit to armpit.

Tip Leave a gap under each shoulder for the sleeves.

  6. Step 6: Long sleeves

From each shoulder, draw a sleeve bending at the elbow to the wrist, then back up to the armpit.

  7. Step 7: Round mittens

From each sleeve end, draw a round mitten with a little thumb pointing in, back to the sleeve.

  8. Step 8: Big snowflake

In the middle of the tunic, draw a big snowflake, 3 crossing lines with a small V near each end.

  9. Step 9: Legs

Start under the icicle hem, draw 2 lines down for each leg, and stop at the same height.

  10. Step 10: Boots and ground

At the bottom of each leg, draw a boot with its toe pointing out. Add a ground line under them.

  11. Step 11: Falling snowflakes

In the air on each side, draw a small snowflake, 3 crossing lines with a small V near each end.

  12. Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face, ears and neck peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes and the hair white.

  13. Step 13: Light blue tunic

Colour the tunic and its long sleeves light blue, right over the snowflake lines.

  14. Step 14: Blue mittens, dark boots

Colour the mittens and legs blue, and the boots dark blue. Go over your lines.
