How to Draw an ID Card
Draw an ID card in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the card.
Step 1: The card
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide rounded rectangle, almost as wide as the page.
Step 2: The photo box
On the left side of the card draw a tall rounded rectangle for the photo. Leave the right half empty.
Step 3: Head and eyes
In the photo box draw a round head with 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and hair
Draw a small U smile. Add a hair line above the eyes, from side to side.
Step 5: Neck and shoulders
Draw a neck under the chin. From the left edge draw shoulders and a V collar. Stop on the right edge.
Step 6: Name lines
On the right half of the card draw 3 fat bars with round ends, one under the other.
Step 7: The chip
In the bottom right corner draw a small rounded rectangle for the chip, with a line across and one down.
Step 8: Slot and lanyard
Draw a slot near the top. From it draw a band up in a big loop and back down into it.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a little 4-point sparkle above each top corner of the card.
Step 10: Yellow chip and shirt
Colour the chip and the shirt yellow.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, peach face
Colour 2 pink cheeks under the eyes. Colour the face and neck peach around them, and leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Sky photo
Colour the photo sky blue around the person.
Step 13: Blue bars, brown hair
Colour the name bars and the lanyard blue, and the hair brown. Your ID card is done!
