How to Draw a Megaphone
Draw a megaphone in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cone.
Step 1: The cone
Start at the top right. Draw a wide cone on its side, small end left. Stop at the bottom right.
Tip A megaphone gets wider toward the front.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the cone draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Add a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat cheek at each end.
Step 4: The big end
At the big right end draw a tall oval from the top corner to the bottom corner, for the opening.
Step 5: The mouthpiece
Start at the top of the small end. Draw a little cup bulging out left; stop at its bottom.
Step 6: The handle
Start under the cone on the left. Draw down to the table, across, and back up to the cone.
Step 7: Trigger and band
On the handle draw a small box trigger. Draw a band line across the cone near the small end.
Step 8: Sound lines and sparkles
In front of the big end draw 3 short lines fanning out. Add 2 little sparkles above the cone.
Step 9: The table
Draw a straight table line under the handle, from left to right.
Step 10: Pink and yellow
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Red cone
Go over your lines, then colour the cone red around the cheeks, up to the band. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Slate grey
Colour the opening, the handle, the small end and the mouthpiece slate grey. Hello, everybody!
