How to Draw a Meatball
Draw a meatball in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the meatball.
Step 1: The meatball
Draw a big round meatball in the middle, as big as your fist. Make it a little lumpy.
Step 2: Sauce on top
Start on the left edge of the meatball. Draw a line of round drips across to the right edge.
Tip Make each drip round at the bottom, like dripping tomato sauce.
Step 3: Specks
Draw 5 small tilted ovals on the lower part of the meatball for specks of herbs.
Step 4: A shine
Near the top left of the meatball draw a tiny tilted oval for a shine.
Step 5: A plate
Behind the meatball draw a flat oval plate, wider than your hand. Add a second oval inside for the rim.
Tip Lift your pencil where the plate goes behind the meatball.
Step 6: A puddle of sauce
Under the meatball draw a flat wobbly puddle on the plate, poking out on both sides.
Step 7: Steam
Above the meatball draw 2 wiggly steam lines going up, starting a finger above the top.
Step 8: A table
Draw a long table line under the plate, from well left to well right, just touching it.
Step 9: Sky plate
Go over your lines, then colour the plate sky blue, going around the meatball and the puddle.
Step 10: Green and red
Colour the specks green, then the sauce on top and the puddle red. Leave the shine white.
Step 11: Brown meatball
Colour the meatball brown below the sauce, going around the specks.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a meatball, drawn by you.
