How to Draw a Mayor
Draw a mayor in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: Face and moustache
Low in the head draw 2 big eyes, a tiny U nose and a smile. Add a wide bow-shaped moustache.
Step 3: Top hat
Draw a flat oval brim on the head. From its left draw a tall box up, over to its right.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the hat.
Step 4: Neck and jacket
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From them draw round shoulders and a jacket, stopping at 2 arm gaps.
Step 5: Collar, tie and sash
From each neck line slant a lapel down to a V. Add a bow tie and a slanted sash.
Step 6: Both arms bent
From each shoulder and armpit draw a sleeve down, bending in at the elbow. Stop at the wrist.
Step 7: 2 mitten hands
From each cuff draw a mitten pointing in, rounded like an egg end, with a little thumb bump on top.
Step 8: Key to the city
Between the hands draw a big ring with a hole. Add a bar through the right mitten with 2 teeth.
Step 9: Trousers, shoes and ground
Start under the left sleeve. Draw 2 trouser legs, ending under the right sleeve. Add shoes and the ground.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Red sash, yellow key
Colour the sash and the bow tie red and the key yellow, leaving the shirt between the lapels white.
Step 12: Navy suit, black hat
Colour the suit navy around the sash, key and hands, and the hat and shoes black. Your mayor is done!
