How to Draw a Mason Jar
Draw a mason jar in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the jar.
Step 1: The jar
In the middle draw a tall jar with straight sides, a flat bottom, round shoulders and a flat top.
Tip A tall box with round shoulders on top.
Step 2: The neck and lid
On the flat top draw a narrow neck band, then a wider lid with a line across the middle.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the jar, below the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The lemonade line
Across the jar, above the eyes, draw 1 shallow curve from the left side to the right side.
Step 6: The handle
Draw a fat backwards C from the jar's right side back to the jar, and a smaller one inside.
Step 7: A straw
From the top of the lid draw a straw leaning up to the left: 2 close lines with 3 stripes.
Step 8: The table
Draw the table line from the left edge to the right edge, just touching the bottom of the jar.
Step 9: Cheeks and handle
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the handle sky blue.
Step 10: Yellow lemonade
Colour the jar yellow below the lemonade line, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey lid, red straw
Colour the lid grey. Colour the top part and the third part of the straw red. Leave the rest white.
