How to Draw a Tennis Racket
Draw a tennis racket in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw one big tall oval, leaning a little to the right.
Tip Leave room below it for a long handle.
Step 2: The frame
Inside it draw a second oval a finger in, all the way round, so the frame is thick.
Step 3: Strings down
Draw 5 lines down the long way inside the inner oval. Start on the top and stop on the bottom.
Step 4: Strings across
Draw 5 lines across the short way. Each starts on the left and stops on the right.
Step 5: The throat
Start on the bottom of the frame. Draw 2 lines that lean together, stop a finger below, and join them.
Step 6: The handle
Start at the throat. Draw 2 long close lines down to the left. Join them with a round end.
Step 7: Grip wraps
Draw 4 short slanted lines across the handle, from edge to edge, for the grip tape.
Step 8: The ball
In the bottom right draw a round ball. Add 2 curved seams, one on each side, top to bottom.
Step 9: Sand strings, yellow ball
Colour the strings sand and the ball yellow.
Step 10: Red frame
Colour the thick frame red all the way around the strings, and colour the throat red.
Step 11: Blue grip
Colour the handle blue. Go over your lines and your racket is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a tennis racket, drawn by you.
