How to Draw a Marble Maze
Draw a marble maze in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
In the middle of your paper, draw a big square with soft corners, as big as your hand.
Step 2: The inner frame
Inside it, draw a second square a finger in from the edge, for the thick frame.
Step 3: Start and finish
Draw a small round hole in the top left corner of the inside and another in the bottom right corner.
Step 4: Maze walls
Draw a short wall down from the top by the start, and one up from the bottom by the finish.
Step 5: More walls
From the left side, draw a step-shaped wall: across, up, then across. Stop before the right side.
Step 6: Last walls
From the right side, draw the same step shape turned around: across, down, then across. Stop before the left side.
Tip Copy the picture: the walls make one winding path from hole to hole.
Step 7: The marble
Draw a round marble in the bottom passage, a little bigger than a hole.
Step 8: Tilt knobs
On each side of the box, halfway down, draw a short bar sticking out with a flat knob on it.
Tip The knobs tilt the maze to roll the marble.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line under the box, nearly from edge to edge.
Step 10: Sparkles
Draw a few little 4-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 11: Cream and yellow
Go over your lines. Colour the board cream, going around the marble and holes, and the sparkles yellow.
Step 12: Wood frame
Colour the frame wood brown, all around the cream board, and both knobs too.
Step 13: Blue marble, grey holes
Colour the marble blue and the two holes slate grey.
