How to Draw a Phone

Draw a phone in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the phone.

Step 1: The phone
In the middle of your paper, draw a tall rectangle with very round corners, almost twice as tall as wide.
Tip Round the corners like a thumb, not a sharp box.
Step 2: Screen and buttons
Inside the phone, draw a rounded screen. Add a camera dot and speaker pill above, and a round button below.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Above the middle of the screen, draw 2 big oval eyes side by side, with a black dot in each.
Tip Leave a small white shine in each black dot.
Step 4: A big smile
Below the eyes, draw a wide U smile. Start under the left eye, swoop down, and stop under the right.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Beside each end of the smile, under each eye, draw a small flat oval for a rosy cheek.
Step 6: Two sleeves
On each side, draw a fat sleeve like a bent sock, with a flat cuff. The left one waves up.
Tip Each sleeve is fattest at the phone and thinner at the cuff.
Step 7: Two mittens
On each cuff, draw a round mitten with a small thumb bump on the side facing the phone.
Tip Draw the mitten and its thumb in one smooth line.
Step 8: Two sneakers
Under the phone, draw 2 chunky sneakers with toes pointing out. Add sole lines, toe caps and the ground.
Step 9: Ring ring!
By each top corner of the phone, draw 3 short rainbow curves, one outside the other. Ring ring!
Tip Keep the curves clear of the phone: they are the ring sound.
Step 10: Peach and sky blue
Colour the cheeks peach. Colour the screen, sleeves and mittens sky blue around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 11: Purple, red and black
Colour the phone purple around the screen, speaker and camera, the sneakers red, then the speaker and camera black.
