How to Draw a Mangosteen
Draw a mangosteen in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the fruit.
Step 1: The fruit
Left of the middle draw a big circle as wide as your palm for the fruit.
Tip Inside a mangosteen are sweet white segments like a little flower.
Step 2: The front leaf
Start at the top of the circle. Draw a fat round leaf hanging down the front, back to the top.
Step 3: 2 side leaves
From the top of the fruit draw 2 more fat round leaves lying flat on its shoulders, one each side.
Step 4: The stem
From the middle of the cap draw a short thick stem going up.
Step 5: The back leaf
Behind the stem draw a small round leaf just peeking over the top of the fruit.
Step 6: A cut half
To the right draw a smaller circle for a fruit cut in half, inside facing you.
Step 7: White segments
Inside the cut half draw 5 fat round petals meeting in the middle. Leave a ring round them.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the fruits, just touching their bottoms, from well left to well right.
Step 9: Green cap
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 cap leaves green.
Step 10: Brown stem
Colour the short stem brown.
Step 11: Purple shells
Colour the whole fruit and the shell ring purple, around the cap. Leave the segments white. Your mangosteen is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a mangosteen, drawn by you.
