How to Draw a Cookie Jar
Draw a cookie jar in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lid.
Step 1: The lid
Near the top of your paper draw a flat lid: a wide box with soft top corners, open below.
Step 2: The knob
Start on top of the lid in the middle. Draw a small arch up and over, back to the lid.
Step 3: The glass jar
Start under the lid near the corner. Draw a big jar down, round the bottom, and up to the lid.
Step 4: A cookie
Inside the jar near the top draw a big round cookie, as big as a plum.
Step 5: Two more cookies
Under it draw 2 more round cookies side by side, tucked a little behind, filling the bottom of the jar.
Step 6: Chocolate chips
Draw 7 tiny tilted ovals on the cookies for chocolate chips.
Step 7: A shine
Draw a thin curved line down the left side of the jar, inside the edge, for a shine.
Step 8: The table
Start well left of the jar and draw a straight table line under it, stopping well to the right.
Step 9: Crumbs
On the table to the right draw 1 lumpy crumb, then a smaller crumb a little further away.
Step 10: Tan cookies
Go over your lines, then colour the cookies tan, going around the chips. Leave the glass jar white.
Step 11: Brown chips and crumbs
Colour the chips and the crumbs brown.
Step 12: Blue lid and knob
Colour the lid and the knob blue, and your cookie jar is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a cookie jar, drawn by you.
