How to Draw a Mallet
Draw a mallet in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a long rounded box lying on its side for the big wooden head.
Tip A mallet has a big block head instead of a metal one.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the head draw 2 big egg eyes an eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The end faces
Near each end of the head draw a straight line from the top edge down to the bottom edge.
Step 5: The handle
From the middle of the head's bottom, draw 2 lines down to a round knob with a flat bottom.
Step 6: Wood grain
On each end face, outside the end lines, draw 2 gentle curves from top to bottom for wood grain.
Step 7: Two sparkles
Draw a small sparkle in the air on each side of the handle, well away from the mallet.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line under the knob, starting below the left sparkle and stopping below the right one.
Step 9: Tan handle, pink cheeks
Colour the handle tan and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Wood head
Go over your lines. Colour the head wood brown around the face, leaving the eyes white. Your mallet is done!
