How to Draw a Bucket
Draw a bucket in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Above the middle draw a wide flat oval, about a hand across, with a smaller oval inside for the rim.
Step 2: The bucket
From each end of the oval draw a line down, leaning in, stopping near the bottom. Join them underneath.
Tip A tall tub, narrower at the bottom.
Step 3: Two big eyes
A little above the middle of the bucket, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, with a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The handle
From the rim's left end draw a tall rainbow over to its right end, with a second rainbow just inside.
Step 6: Two hoops
A finger under the rim draw a smile across the bucket, side to side. Do the same near the bottom.
Step 7: Water
Inside the rim draw a wavy line from the left end to the right end for the water.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long ground line across the page, touching the bottom of the bucket.
Step 9: Sky water, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the water sky blue and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Teal bucket
Colour the bucket teal between the hoops, around the cheeks, and inside above the water. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Slate rim, hoops, handle
Colour the thin ring round the top, the two hoop bands and the handle slate grey.
