How to Draw a Mailbox
Draw a mailbox in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
A little above the middle, draw a long box like a loaf of bread, rounded at the top left corner.
Step 2: Round front
Start at the top right corner. Draw a bulging curve out and down, and stop at the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Door and latch
Inside the round front, draw a smaller matching curve for the door. Add a little round latch in the middle.
Step 4: The post
Start under the box, draw a long U for the post, stop on the box. Add a brace each side.
Step 5: The flag
Near the back of the box, draw a thin arm up past the top with a square flag on it.
Step 6: A letter
On the side of the box, draw a flat box with a V inside it, like an envelope flap.
Step 7: The ground
Draw the ground line from the post out to each edge, with 3 grass blades at each end.
Step 8: A bush
Right of the post, start on the ground. Draw a plump bush with 3 bumps and stop on the ground.
Step 9: White letter, green bush
Colour the letter white and the bush leaf green.
Step 10: Blue mailbox
Colour the box and its round front blue, around the letter and the flag arm.
Step 11: Red flag, wood post
Colour the flag and its arm red, and the post wood brown. Your mailbox is done!
