How to Draw Winter Mittens
Draw winter mittens in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two mitten hands.
Step 1: Two mitten hands
On the left draw a tall loaf shape with a flat bottom. Draw another on the right, a gap apart.
Tip Both mittens are the same size: about a hand tall.
Step 2: The thumbs
On the outside edge of each mitten, below the middle, draw a fat thumb like a C pointing out.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the left mitten draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a tiny flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The cuffs
Under each mitten draw a rounded box hanging down, about as wide as the mitten.
Step 6: Cuff ribs
Draw 3 short straight lines down each cuff, top to bottom, so it looks knitted.
Step 7: Mitten string
Start on the left cuff. Draw one sagging rope across and stop on the right cuff, like a little smile.
Step 8: Big snowflake
On the middle of the right mitten draw a big snowflake, a star with 6 fat pointy arms.
Step 9: Snowflakes
Draw 3 little snowflakes floating around the mittens, each a star with 6 pointy arms.
Step 10: Cream cuffs, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 cuffs cream and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Sky snowflakes
Colour the 3 floating snowflakes sky blue.
Step 12: Red mittens
Colour both mittens red, going around the face and the big snowflake. Leave the eyes and snowflake white.
