How to Draw a Measuring Cup
Draw a measuring cup in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall jug.
Step 1: The tall jug
Draw an oval top with a lip pointing left. From its ends draw long sides down to a round bottom.
Tip Make the jug about twice as tall as it is wide.
Step 2: Under the spout
Under the pointed lip draw a short curve from its tip back to the side of the jug.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the jug draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: The handle
Draw a C handle on the right side: start near the top, curve out and down, stop lower down.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 6: Measuring marks
Up the left side of the jug draw 6 short bold lines sticking in from the edge, for measuring marks.
Step 7: Juice inside
Above the eyes draw a gentle wavy line across the jug, side to side, for the top of the juice.
Step 8: The shadow
Draw a long flat oval around the bottom of the jug, for its shadow.
Step 9: The table
From each end of the shadow draw a long straight table line out to the side.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, grey shadow
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the shadow grey.
Step 11: Orange juice, blue handle
Colour the juice orange around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white, and the handle blue. Your cup is full!
