How to Draw a Lop-Eared Bunny

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a lop-eared bunny in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bun head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Bun head

Near the top draw a big soft bun head, narrow on top and wider below, with 2 fat cheek pouches.

Tip Like an upside-down heart at the bottom. Leave room below for the body.

  2. Step 2: Floppy lop ears

Start on the head, left of the middle. Draw a floppy ear down to the shoulder and back. Same right.

Tip Round the bottom like a spoon. Add an oval inside.

  3. Step 3: 2 shiny eyes

Above the pouches draw 2 big round eyes an eye apart, with a black dot and shine.

  4. Step 4: Snout and nose

Under the eyes draw a fat heart snout, dipping at the top. In the dip draw a small triangle nose.

  5. Step 5: Smile and buck teeth

From the nose draw a little smile curving up to each side. Under the middle hang 2 big buck teeth.

  6. Step 6: Round body

Start under the left pouch. Draw a tall round body down, along the bottom, and up to the right pouch.

Tip No neck, a little narrower than the cheeks. Leave room below for the feet.

  7. Step 7: Fists and arms

Under the chin draw 2 round fists with knuckle bumps. From each side draw an arm down to a fist.

  8. Step 8: The carrot

From one fist draw a long carrot point down over the tummy, and back up to the other fist.

Tip Add 3 fat leaves fanning up from the top toward the chin.

  9. Step 9: Tummy and whiskers

Under the fists draw a wide oval tummy patch behind the carrot. Draw 2 short whiskers out from each cheek.

  10. Step 10: Feet, tail and ground

Draw a ground line and a flat hill foot at each bottom corner. Add a fluffy tail peeking out behind.

  11. Step 11: White fur, cream tummy

Colour the head, ears, body, arms, feet and tail white. Colour the snout and tummy patch cream.

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Pink ears and paws

Colour the inside of the ears, the nose and the 2 fists pink.

  13. Step 13: Orange carrot, green leaves

Colour the carrot orange and its leaves green, and go over all your lines.
