How to Draw a Long-Haired Princess
Draw a long-haired princess in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room at both sides for very long hair.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle, draw 2 round eyes with dots and a lash each. Add a tiny nose, smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Draw the hair over the top of the head, side to side. Add a curved fringe across the forehead.
Step 4: Little crown
On top of the hair, draw a little crown with 3 points. Start and stop on the hair.
Step 5: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines. From one, draw a dress with short sleeves, over to the other. Add a belt.
Step 6: Very long hair
On each side, draw a lock of hair from the head down to the ground, with a curved line inside.
Tip The hair is behind the dress and arms: only its outside edge shows.
Step 7: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, closer together at the bottom.
Step 8: Mitten hands
At the end of each arm, draw a round mitten with a small thumb. Start and stop on the arm.
Step 9: Legs
From the hem, draw 2 lines down for each leg. Stop a little above the bottom of the page.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Under each leg, draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach. Leave the eyes and 2 cheek spots white.
Step 12: Yellow hair, pink cheeks
Colour the hair yellow. Colour the cheek spots and the belt pink.
Step 13: Blue dress, purple crown
Colour the dress light blue, around the belt. Colour the crown and shoes purple.
