How to Draw a Lobster Face

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a lobster face in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the body.

Print

  1. Step 1: The body

In the middle of the page, draw a big tall egg, narrower at the top. Leave room above and below.

  2. Step 2: Eyes on stalks

Above the body, draw 2 big round eyes floating just above the top. Add a short stalk to each.

  3. Step 3: Happy face

In the lower half of the body, draw a smile from under one eye to the other. Add pink cheeks.

  4. Step 4: Long feelers

From the top corners of the body, draw 2 long thin feelers sweeping up and out, thinner at the tips.

  5. Step 5: Arms

On each side of the body, just below the middle, draw a fat arm that bends out and up.

  6. Step 6: Pincer claws

At the end of each arm, draw a big mitten claw with a V notch cut into the inside corner.

  7. Step 7: Legs

Under the arms, draw 2 legs on each side that bend out, then down to thin tips.

  8. Step 8: Tail segments

Under the body, draw 3 short rounded bands for the tail, each one a little narrower.

  9. Step 9: Fan tail

Under the last band, draw a wide fan with 3 round bumps along its bottom.

  10. Step 10: Orange claws

    Colour both claws orange.

  11. Step 11: Colour the lobster red

Colour the body, stalks, feelers, arms, legs and tail red, around the cheeks and claws. Leave the eyes white.
