How to Draw a Chili
Draw a chili in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the chili.
Step 1: The chili
Across the middle draw a long curved chili: fat at the top right, sweeping down to a point low left.
Tip Fat at the top like a shoulder, thin as a pencil at the point.
Step 2: The cap
On the fat top draw a little cap with 3 points, closed along the bottom.
Step 3: The stem
From the cap draw a stem curving up right, wide at the cap and thin at its round tip.
Step 4: A chili behind
Behind the first chili draw a smaller one curving the other way, its point low on the right.
Tip The 2 chilies make a friendly X. Do not draw across the front one.
Step 5: Its cap and stem
Give the second chili its own little cap with 3 points and a stem curving up left.
Step 6: Shines
Inside the fat shoulder of each chili, a finger below its cap, draw a thin oval sliver for a shine.
Step 7: Heat lines
Between the 2 stems draw 2 wiggly heat lines going up, like steam from something hot.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line just under the chilies where they rest, from well left to well right.
Step 9: Red chilies
Go over your lines, then colour both chilies red below the caps, leaving the shines white.
Step 10: Green caps and stems
Colour both caps and stems green.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a chili, drawn by you.
