11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a zeppole in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bag.

Print

  1. Step 1: The bag

Start at the top left. Draw a big wide bag down, across the bottom and up to the top right.

Tip Zeppole are little Italian fried dough puffs, shaken in a bag of powdered sugar.

  2. Step 2: Folded top

Across the top of the bag draw a folded band, just as wide as the bag.

  3. Step 3: First puff

Draw a big round dough puff poking up out of the band, left of the middle. Stop at the band.

  4. Step 4: More puffs

Add a smaller puff on the right, one higher behind both, and a small one left, all heaped up.

  5. Step 5: Fallen puff

At the right of the bag, level with its bottom, draw 1 more round puff lying on its own.

  6. Step 6: Powdered sugar

Across the top of each puff draw a bumpy line from side to side, for powdered sugar.

  7. Step 7: A stripe

Across the bag draw 1 line from its left edge to its right edge, a little below the middle.

  8. Step 8: The table

Draw a long table line under the bag and the fallen puff, just touching their bottoms.

  9. Step 9: Cream bag

Go over your lines, then colour the folded band and the bag above its stripe cream.

  10. Step 10: Tan puffs

Colour the puffs tan below the sugar lines. Leave the sugar white.

  11. Step 11: Red bottom

Colour the bag below its stripe red, and your zeppole are done!
