How to Draw a Greek God
Draw a Greek god in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of the paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above right for the raised arm and lightning bolt.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big round eyes halfway down the head, with dots and shines. Add a U nose and a smile.
Step 3: Curly hair
Start on the head's left side. Draw curly tufts over the top, stop on the right. Add a hairline curve.
Step 4: Beard
Start on the left cheek beside the smile. Draw a U under the chin and stop on the right cheek.
Step 5: Leaf crown
Draw a thin band across the forehead, side to side. Add 2 oval leaves on each side, leaning back.
Step 6: The tunic
Under the beard draw a tunic down to the knees and back up. Add a belt and a fold line.
Tip The right sleeve points up, because that arm is raised. The beard hides the neck.
Step 7: Two arms
Right arm: from the sleeve go out, then up beside the head, stopping at the wrist. Left arm hangs down.
Step 8: Fists
On the raised wrist draw a round fist with a thumb bump. On the left draw a round hanging hand.
Step 9: Lightning bolt
Out of the raised fist draw a big zigzag lightning bolt, as tall as the head, pointed at both ends.
Step 10: Legs and sandals
From the hem draw each leg down to the ankle, curving out at the calf. Add sandals and the ground.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the face, arms, fists and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow bolt and sandals
Colour the sandals and the lightning bolt yellow, around the fist.
Step 13: Green laurel
Go over your lines. Colour the laurel leaves green. Leave the hair, beard and tunic white.
