How to Draw a Lime
Draw a lime in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lime.
Step 1: The lime
A little low on your paper, draw a big round as big as your fist, a bit wider than tall.
Tip Round like a ball but a little lumpy.
Step 2: The button
At the very top of the round draw a tiny circle for the button.
Step 3: Two leaves
By the button draw a fat leaf pointing up right, and another pointing up left. Add a line down each.
Tip Two fat almonds, like bunny ears.
Step 4: Dimples
Dot 4 tiny dots on the lime for its bumpy skin, spread out and none touching the edge.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the left side of the lime draw a thin curved sliver, like a tiny banana, following the edge.
Step 6: A slice
In front of the lime, low on the right, draw a round slice covering part of the lime.
Step 7: Inside the slice
Draw a second round just inside the slice. From the middle draw 6 lines out to it, for the segments.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the lime and the slice, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Leaf green
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 leaves and the middle of the slice leaf green.
Step 10: Green lime
Colour the lime and the slice's thin edge green, around its middle. Leave the shine white. Your lime is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a lime, drawn by you.
