How to Draw a Heart Waffle
Draw a heart waffle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the plate.
Step 1: The plate
In the middle of your paper, draw a big round plate, nearly as big as the page.
Tip Everything goes inside the plate, so draw it big.
Step 2: The rim
Inside the plate, draw a second round a finger in from the edge, for the rim.
Step 3: The waffle
Inside the rim, draw a big heart that nearly fills it, with 2 round bumps and a soft point.
Step 4: Butter
In the middle of the waffle, draw a flat slanted square, like a little tile seen from above.
Step 5: Melting butter
Draw a thin edge under the tile. From its left side, draw a wobbly puddle round to its right side.
Step 6: Top pockets
Draw a row of little soft squares across the 2 bumps of the heart, a finger in from the edge.
Tip All the pockets are the same size, like a checkerboard.
Step 7: Middle pockets
Draw 1 more row of pockets under them, across the widest part. Skip the ones where the butter sits.
Step 8: Lower pockets
Keep going with rows below, round the butter, down to 1 pocket near the point.
Step 9: Yellow butter, sky rim
Go over your lines. Colour the butter and puddle yellow, and the rim sky blue. Leave the plate white.
Step 10: Tan waffle
Colour the waffle tan, around the butter and the pockets.
Step 11: Brown pockets
Colour all the pockets brown.
