How to Draw a Lilac Bush
Draw a lilac bush in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the left side.
Step 1: The left side
Start low on the left. Draw 5 big soft bumps climbing up and over, and stop at the top middle.
Step 2: The right side
Start where the top bump ended. Draw 4 more bumps down the right side, stopping level with where you began.
Step 3: The bottom
Start at the bottom of the left bump. Draw a straight ground line and stop at the bottom right bump.
Step 4: Flower cones on top
On top of the bush, draw 2 tall bumpy cones that point up. Rub out the bush line inside them.
Step 5: Three more cones
Draw a bumpy cone poking out of each side, and 1 low in the middle. Rub out lines inside them.
Step 6: Tiny flowers
In each top cone, draw 3 tiny flowers with 4 round petals, like a plus sign.
Step 7: More tiny flowers
Draw 3 more tiny 4-petal flowers in each of the other 3 cones, spread out.
Step 8: Ground and grass
From each bottom corner, draw a ground line out towards the paper's edge. Flick up 2 grass blades each side.
Step 9: Pink flowers
Colour all the tiny flowers pink.
Step 10: Green bush
Colour the bush leaf green right to the bumpy edge, going round the cones.
Step 11: Purple lilacs
Colour the cones purple around the pink flowers. Go over your lines and your lilac bush is done!
