How to Draw a Snake Plant
Draw a snake plant in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pot rim.
Step 1: The pot rim
Below the middle of your paper draw a wide flat box, as wide as your hand and a finger tall.
Step 2: The pot
Start under the rim near the left end. Go down leaning in, across, and back up to the rim.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the pot draw 2 big egg eyes, an eye-width apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 4: A big smile
Leave a little gap under the eyes and draw a wide U smile, ends turning up.
Step 5: The middle leaf
Start on the middle of the rim. Draw a tall thin leaf up to a sharp point and back down.
Step 6: Two more leaves
Start on the rim again. Draw a shorter sword leaf leaning a little left, and another leaning a little right.
Step 7: The outside leaves
Start on the rim once more. Draw a short sword leaf at each end, standing almost straight up.
Step 8: Snake stripes
Draw thin wavy snake stripes, 2 across each of the 3 middle leaves and 1 across each side leaf.
Step 9: The table
Draw a long straight table line along the bottom of the pot, sticking out on both sides.
Step 10: Ginger pot, pink cheeks
Colour the pot and its rim ginger brown, going round the face. Add 2 rosy pink cheeks under the eyes.
Tip Keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Green leaves
Colour all 5 leaves green. Go over your lines and your snake plant is done!
