How to Draw the Liberty Bell
Draw the Liberty Bell in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bell.
Step 1: The bell
Above the middle, start on the left. Draw a tall bell with a round top, stopping level with the start.
Tip The bell is wider at the bottom than the top, like a skirt.
Step 2: The lip
Under the bell, draw a thick band with round ends, just a little wider than the bell.
Step 3: A happy face
In the middle of the bell, draw 2 big round eyes with dots. Add a wide U smile and cheeks.
Step 4: The clapper
Start under the middle of the lip. Draw a short stem of 2 lines down, ending in a round ball.
Step 5: The top knob
Draw a little knob on top: start on the bell, go up and over, and back down to it.
Step 6: Wooden beam
Above the knob, draw a flat box. Draw 2 short posts down to the bell, hugging the knob.
Step 7: The famous crack
Low on the bell, right of the smile, draw a short zigzag crack climbing up from the lip.
Step 8: Two sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars in the air, one on each side of the top of the bell.
Step 9: Cheeks and sparkles
Colour the cheeks peach and the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Bronze bell
Colour the bell, knob and lip orange-brown like old bronze, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown beam and clapper
Go over your lines, then colour the beam, posts and clapper brown. Your Liberty Bell is done!
