How to Draw a Leprechaun
Draw a leprechaun in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top draw a big head like an egg on its side. Leave room below for the body.
Tip Fat round cheeks and a narrower chin, not a perfect circle.
Step 2: Tall green hat
Across the top of the head draw a fat flat brim. On it draw a tall hat, flat on top.
Tip The hat is a little wider at the top than at the brim.
Step 3: Eyes, nose and smile
Draw 2 big round eyes with black dots. Under them draw a small ball nose, and a smile below it.
Step 4: Band and buckle
Above the brim draw a line across the hat for a band. Add a square buckle in the middle.
Step 5: Big orange beard
Draw a big bushy beard: a wide M under the nose, then a big U hanging down over the chest.
Step 6: Green jacket
Under the head draw a box jacket as wide as the cheeks. Add a line down the middle and lapels.
Step 7: Buckle belt
Above the hem draw a belt across the jacket, 2 lines side to side, with a square buckle.
Step 8: Arms and fists
From each shoulder draw an arm down the side, narrower at the wrist, with a mitten fist peeking out.
Step 9: Trousers, boots and ground
Under the jacket draw short box trousers. Under each leg draw a chunky buckled boot. Add a ground line.
Step 10: Peach face, gold buckles
Colour the face, nose and fists peach and the 4 buckles yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Orange beard, green clothes
Colour the beard orange, then the hat and suit green, around the fists and buckles. Skip the band and belt.
Step 12: Brown boots, black belt
Colour the boots brown and the belt and hat band black, around the gold buckles. Your leprechaun is done!
