How to Draw a Lenticular Cloud
Draw a lenticular cloud in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mountain.
Step 1: The mountain
Start at the bottom left. Draw a big triangle mountain up to a sharp peak and down to the right.
Step 2: The big saucer cloud
Above the peak draw a wide saucer shape, rounder on top, flatter underneath, with pointy ends.
Tip Make the ends really pointy, like a lemon, so it looks like a cloud and not a plate.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Inside the saucer draw 2 round eyes, a little apart, with a shiny dot in each.
Step 4: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small smile. Add a tiny oval cheek at each side, inside the saucer.
Step 5: 2 more saucers
Above the big saucer draw 2 thinner, shorter saucers, each peeking out from behind the one below.
Step 6: Snow cap
Start on the left slope near the peak. Draw a wavy line across and stop on the right slope.
Step 7: The ground
Draw the ground line across the bottom of the page.
Step 8: Pine trees
At each side of the mountain draw a pine tree: a stack of pointed triangles on a short trunk.
Step 9: The sun
Draw a sun with short rays in the top right corner.
Step 10: Yellow sun, pink cheeks
Colour the sun yellow and the cheeks pink. Leave the saucers, the snow cap and the eyes white.
Step 11: Green pines
Colour the 2 pine trees green.
Step 12: Grey mountain
Colour the mountain grey around the snow cap. Go over your lines and your lenticular cloud is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a lenticular cloud, drawn by you.
