How to Draw a Lemon
Draw a lemon in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the lemon.
Step 1: The lemon
In the middle of your paper draw a fat oval lying on its side, a bit pointy at each end.
Tip Like a rugby ball seen from the side, but rounder.
Step 2: Two nubs
On each point, start just above the tip, draw a tiny round bump sticking out, and stop just below it.
Step 3: Stem and leaf
From the lemon's top draw a stem leaning right. Add a fat leaf at its tip, with a middle line.
Step 4: Dimples
Dot 5 tiny dots on the right half of the lemon for its bumpy skin, none touching the edge.
Step 5: A shine
Inside the top left of the lemon, draw a short curved line that follows the edge, for a shine.
Step 6: A lemon slice
Low in front of the lemon, leaving its left nub showing, draw a round slice. Add a smaller circle inside.
Step 7: Segments
From the middle of the slice draw 6 lines out to the inner circle, like the spokes of a wheel.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the lemon and the slice, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Cream rind
Go over your lines. Colour the thin ring around the edge of the slice cream.
Step 10: Yellow lemon
Colour the lemon and its nubs yellow around the slice. Colour the middle of the slice yellow too.
Step 11: Green leaf, brown stem
Colour the leaf green and the stem brown.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a lemon, drawn by you.
